Conservation Photographer for Hire

I am available for hire for short-term assignments for wildlife/nature photography and writing beginning summer 2018. I am based in Fort Collins, Colorado, but have traveled extensively throughout the western U.S. As a professional ecologist, I am familiar with many wildlife species' behavior and habitats in North America - this experience serves well when photos or text are needed for specific species.

Locations. I'm able to travel more easily to any U.S. state or territory, but will consider traveling to any country that is relatively politically stable. As a field ecologist, I'm used to spending days in remote areas with rugged terrain and inclement weather.

EthicsI primarily shoot images of wildlife species in situ, without handling. I only consider shooting animals in manipulated settings when requested, necessary permits are in place, and it is necessary to convey the information needed. If you're looking for photos of wildlife taken in natural habitats without physical manipulation, please consider my work!

Rates. My rates vary depending on the assignment (e.g., extent and travel involved) and status of the employer. Rates are lower for non-profit organisations with focus on conservation - this is a small way I can support such organisations. I'm happy to negotiate rates from serious inquiries.
